Family Friendly Club

We are the football (soccer) club representing the Bellarine Peninsula. We are family orientated providing a welcoming, friendly, and safe atmosphere to all members of the community, club members, neighbouring clubs and competing clubs where everyone is welcome regardless of age and abilities.

The Bellarine Sharks were formed in 2004 by Murry Hall to increase the local junior sporting opportunities, with the focus on fun, safe and friendly environment working on soccer skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship skills.
Bellarine Sharks home ground is Lake Reserve, St Leonards.

Along with our friendly, welcoming atmosphere we work with local schools to offer our services and skills to run school clinics and after school programs, using fun and enthusiasm as our basis, this started back in 2004 through the Goal Kick program, ran by Murry Hall and Carey Bell.

The founding committee consisted of Murray and Donna Hall, Mandy Maloney, Lyn Gleeson, Lyndal Almond and Carey Bell.

In 2004 the club offered soccer coaching to local school children through the Goal Kick program. This activity was very successful with 15 of these children forming our first team in 2005.

The clubs founding committee members were all parents of the children who attended the after school “Goal Kick” clinic which Murray Hall and Carey Bell had conducted earlier in the year.

Bellarine Sharks’ Home Ground is at Lake Reserve in St Leonards, on the Bellarine Peninsula.

The club plays in the Inter Milan colours of Black and Royal Blue vertical stripes.

From the outset the club had adopted the “Good Sports” program, which emphasised the need for clubs to provide safe environments for families to have fun and be active in their local communities.
